That readme looks like a stub - definitely not complete.

The following is untested, but the sequence of steps you'd need is along the lines of:

pip install opal-observations

add 'obs' to INSTALLED_APPS

python manage.py migrate

add to the relevant detail template {% include 'obs/detail_panel.html' %}

Then you should get forms, display of the last obs entry, and charts once there are more than one
