Description: Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Project Manager for a contract position with one of our premier financial industry clients in Columbus, OH. Responsibilities: Project Manager will support a technical infrastructure lab migration project from initiation through implementation including phases such as planning, analysis, design, and implementation. Establish project requirements, priorities, and deadlines for strategic data center server placements and remediation. Manage budget for assigned projects, monitor project progress, and adjust resources and priorities accordingly. Prepare and present progress reports for management. Define and lead tactical plans with little oversight. Develop document structures and manage customer expectations. Routinely make complex decisions and hold others accountable for quality and deadlines. Responsible for ensuring that all project team members report their time. Create and encourage a learning environment through process improvement. Track and report on Risks and Issues. Required Skills: At least 5 years of Project Management experience Expert technical writing skills At least 5 years of Mid-range server placement and remediation and/or midrange server technical experience, including: Windows, UNIX, SQL, Oracle, SAN, NAS, Network, DBs (SQL, Oracle) Proficient in MS Office Applications and MS Project Banking Industry knowledge Data Center Operations, Infrastructure Services, Storage, Network experience Ability to lead remote teams Successfully manage in a matrix resource model Demonstrated ability to work independently and understand when to seek advice or guidance from peer or management Appropriately escalate issues and roadblocks Preferred Skills: Knowledge of Project Management Methodology Experience in Data Center Operations Experience in Infrastructure Services Knowledge of Banking or Consumer Credit Industry Demonstrated Technical documentation skills (written and Visio) Demonstrated personal initiative, ownership, and accountability Ability to lead collaboration and resolve conflict in a matrixed organization-project structure SGA is a Certified Womans Business Enterprise (WBE) celebrating over thirty years of service to our national client base.
