Position: Pre-Sales Systems Consultants
Other Locations: (Bay Area, Chicago, DC, Seattle, New Jersey, Atlanta)
Candidates should have a minimum of one year of pre-sales technical
experience with related product or equivalent technical marketing
or corporate analyst experience. Other related skills include
excellent PC/Mac/Unix Motif skills, relational database/SQL (Oracle,
Sybase, Informix, etc.) knowledge strongly desired.
Job Specifications
Excellent presentation and communications skills
Flexibility and desire to travel extensively to customer site
Data warehouse experience is a definite asset.
Perform custom demonstrations, installations and pilots of client software.
Perform presentations and hold discussions relating to client software.
Follow up on accounts for technical issues related to sales cycle.
Perform needs analysis and RFP/RFI responses.
Provide User Group and trade show support.
Perform Account Management duties.
Some regional travel required.
Jointly responsible, with Sales Reps, for generating $3,000,000 +
annual revenues.
Required Experience:
Proven experience with RDBMS technology, such as Oracle, Sybase or
Informix.
Excellent customer presence, communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong understanding of Client/Server tools.
Must have good familiarity with end-user reporting environments.
Solid understanding of Windows and Unix OS's.
One to three years of software industry, field SC experience.
Must enjoy working in a sales environment.
Must be self-motivated and have an entrepreneurial spirit.
Preferred:
Experience using client or client's competitors products.
Experience with Web Servers (Apache, Netscape, Microsoft)
Good understanding of middle ware (SQL
Net, Open Client, ODBC)
Depth of Unix and NT experience.
Experience coding with Java Script.
Experience developing simple applications.
