Embedded Software Engineer (OH-Cleveland)
A global leader in solid state power electronic equipment for power
quality and reliability enhancement with a growing, team-oriented
technology and new product development group is seeking an Embedded
Software Engineer. This individual must be able to interact closely
with other members for the project team to assist in the development
of software specifications and to participate in all phases of
software implementation such as coding, documentation, program
testing, and integration. He/she will be responsible for the
implementation of new code targeted for the embedded PC in addition to
support of existing microcontroller code. The development consists of
a LAN of Windows '95 PC's with internet capabilities. Development
tools are Borland C++, ROM/DOS, Dos Buttons, and RTKernel. Target
platforms consist of 8051 and 68HC11/16 based microcontrollers and
80486 based embedded PC's. MS/BSCE, BSCE, CS with embedded systems
experience a must or MS/BSEE with extensive structured software design
experience. Three plus years experience developing graphical user
interfaces and device drivers for real-time multi-tasking embedded
systems using C/C++. Familiarity with object-oriented techniques is
necessary. Experience writing windows applications using Borland C++
is a plus. Experience with Assembly language, embedded microprocessor
hardware, DSP's, FPGA's, and power electronics is also helpful.
Company prefers local candidates, but will consider all. Salary range
is $45K to $65K. Refer to #JO129.
