Only photo I have.  Taken today on the Tuscarawas River near Dover-Zoar
Rd. NE by old bridge sandbar today.  Any ideas?

           I see that while I was typing "Pholisora catullus" to you, Harry was sending "Common Sooty-wing" to the list.  Just know they are the same thing, and you may know that already.

Ha, James, when people ask for IDs of living butterflies, I use English names. For set specimens, scientific names. That’s just me, of course.
