Oguta Ameshi Peace and Security Communication Strategy
‘’Spiritual Communication should not be treated as an ‘’afterthought’’ but an integral component of all Ameshi traditions from birth to T-stool installation.’’
• This underlies the premium that Oguta Ameshi places on spiritual communication. The spiritual communication and visibility component is incorporated into all Ameshi traditional activities. The rationale behind this is embedded in the internal and external (odinani and omenani) spiritual communication objectives of Ameshi Ancestors. The overriding spiritual communication philosophy of Ameshi is to involve indigenes in the processes and thereby make tradition and activities genelogy centred and driven.
• This is the operating principle behind the AMESHI SPIRITUAL COMMUNICATION AND VISIBILITY ODINANI for the AMESHI traditional operations.
• Spiritual Communication and visibility is critical to optimal participation, comprehension, understanding, appreciation, cooperation and sustained support by all Ameshi indigenes.
The Spiritual Communication and Visibility Template
The expressed timeline of the use of ogbommou is beginning from the day of T-stool installation.
It is envisaged that there will be a purification, coronation, measurement, and evaluation as well as daily ‘’ibubu-onu’’.
The elements of the spiritual communication and visibility activities can be enabled at these stages. Nonetheless, depending on the Ameshi traditional resources and capacity available during the installation, libation must be sustained throughout.
With respect to the first element of visibility, there is a requirement for purification.
Purification
There is an Oguta Ameshi Design traditional Manual covering the visual identity of Oguta Ameshi and forms part of the AMESHI traditional standards. It is mandatory for all Okparas, Ogene and Ezeigwe are installed by Animechime, supported by mothers village as partners and implemented by ofo and ogbommou. It is rather spiritual but suffice it to state that, “The ogbommou must not be of any other material than the SACRED oshishi ofo of natural content to ensure that human bias is not displayed in its operations.

All items, processes and events for Ameshi T-stools have to be traditionally branded to reflect proper representation and visibility of Ameshi. Branding entails the placement of the traditional Ameshi spirituality in the
prescribed palaces on the ukpo-mmou, wearing of ofo and ikpa nzu na anya. There is a payoff line on all items for the installation stating that “ogbommou for this project is from the Oguta Ameshi ancestry”.
With respect to branding of palaces, these palaces are vivid illustration of branding with the ‘’ogbommou’’, ‘ukpo’’, ‘’ukpo-mmou’’ and the ‘’ogobo’’ Ameshi stripes [traditional components]
ofo – The traditional voucher to be distributed to all T-stool occupants are also be branded with áka’ with the Ameshi traditional logo. Some T-stool occupants have the branding on their right hands.
Protocol
For the installation and coronation events to be held during the T-stool cycle, high level spiritual participation is of traditional strategic importance. It is therefore a priority that key Ameshi traditional stakeholders are invited and play significant roles during the stages installation and coronation.
Specifically, these include;
Animechime, Mothers’ village, Umuishi , Umuikpeazu and the celebrant village
Spiritual Communication Activities (Communal and Villages)
The traditional media channels are ‘’ibom’’, palace gathering and keepers of palaces. The ibom media is quite vibrant in the contemporary media landscape. villages may have their priority like íhu-mgbirigba’’ of which to use based on their peculiarities and targeted audience as well as resources. Ameshi Ancestors however recommend a mixed media approach of both ibom and ihu-mgbirigba in implementing the spiritual communication activities to get the widest media reach and optimal benefit for Ameshi community.
Pre-event traditional Publicity
There are some publicity to give relative visibility to the throne in the run up
to the installation and coronation of the T-stool occupants. This is through ‘’isusu-onu’’ or ‘ita nti-aru’’ briefing, dissemination of palace statements.

• Organize extensive spiritual consultation coverage for all the related T-stool events and facilitate the usage of the stories generated through proactive spiritual media (‘’ifuzu’’) management.
• Share regular spiritual message updates with traditional stakeholders to demonstrate the effectiveness of the traditional intervention and maintain transparency.
• Collaborate with ódudu-mmou’’, ‘’umuishi’’, and ancestry media outlets to amplify the reach of the traditional messaging.
• Launch targeted traditional campaigns on traditional media platforms such as ‘’owu’’, ‘’ogene’’, ‘’omerife’’, ‘’ufie’’to reach the younger indigenes and traditional generate engagement.
• Share compelling traditional stories, component-graphics, efigies, and testimonials to illustrate the impact of the traditional intervention.
• Highlight the contributions of Ameshi Ancestors and the traditional components in the traditional response inspiring solidarity among indigenes.
• Commissioned the production of a documentary/short feature ‘’ntita-egberi’’ on the implementation and impact of the traditional intervention.
• Consider translating the spiritual Statement, and other traditional communication activities into Oguta Ameshi language to escalate the reach of the message.

Main Content: Organize the traditional information logically for clarity. Report the speeches at the traditional event including ‘’igbatu’’, ‘’atutu-innu’’ or testimonials from major speakers including T-stool Representative, Community leaders and indigenes. Provide relevant historic data and statistics and where relevant highlight the impact of the traditional intervention on the Ameshi traditional situation, communal security, and stability.
