Ekene kwa ni oooooo. It is approaching that time of the year again that we all gather together to discuss and tackle issues dear to us as Umu Ameshi. It's a time for all of us to show and prove our relevancy to our community, especially in these uncertain times,
by contributing our ideas and putting to good use our resources (financial, material, intellectual) to help our beloved Obodo Ameshi move forward. Our community faces numerous challenges, and together, we can accomplish much if we put our minds, hearts, and
resources into tackling them. Our beloved Ameshi witnessed an unprecedented assault on our peace and harmony during the past Christmas festive season when our son and daughters were kidnapped. That singular event shook our community, and to this day, we are
yet to recover from the shock. It becomes imperative, therefore, and more urgently so that we all come together and be part of rewriting our community's security and developmental history. Frantz Fanon said that every society, out of relative obscurity, must
discover its mission and either fulfill it or betray it. Our mission is to secure our beloved Ameshi economically, educationally, and her security. All hands must be on the plow. A soiled finger affects all. Please stand up and be counted on for the sake of
our children and future generations. The future for us is NOW.
