To The General Public
i. The registration as a member of this Institute under the
CIPSMN Act ,no 21 of 2007 ,of Nigeria , protects the public from the
activities of Procurement /Supply Chain Management quacks, charlatans
and unworthy persons advertising themselves in various ways and
collecting money from unsuspecting Public to obtain services capable
of misdirecting the general Public and the economy of the nation.
ii. It provides an assured standard and or strict
yardstick against which the members of the public can easily judge
a person’s ability to undertake specific responsibilities /work;
assignment in procurement/Supply Chain Management .
iii. It serves as a proof and or report of an independent
regulatory body to show that a person has been educated, trained ,
examined, and found to be competent to legally offer himself or
herself to another person to provide services in the area of
Procurement/Supply Chain Management for a reward /fee/salary etc.
To The Public and Private Employers
Registration assures an employer that the person being employed has
acquired adequate skill base to cope with any present and or new
challenges, technologies and market changes in Procurement/Supply
Chain Management field ;
i) It shows /assures Public and Private investors, analysis and
customers of good quality and experienced staff;
ii) Registration assures Employers, of professional standards
to meet the legal requirements of and or challenges of Procurement/
