The word “Profession” as defined in the 6th Edition of Black Law
Dictionary means a vocation or occupation requiring specialists and
usually with advanced education, knowledge and skills and include law,
medicine, engineering, pharmacy, procurement, supply chain management,
quantity surveying, architectural professions e.t.c.
The labour and skill required in all the above qualifications is
predominantly mental or intellectual rather than physical of manual.
