Benchmarking is the measurement of the quality of a Procuring
entity’s /firm's policies, products, programs, strategies, etc., and
their comparison with standard measurements, or similar measurements
of the known best-in-class firms/Procuring entities .
The objectives of this exercise are to determine
(1) What and where improvements are called for,
(2) How other firms/procuring entities achieve their high performance
levels,
(3) and to use this information to improve the firm's/Procuring
entities performance.
