The market research methods include but are not limited to:
 Assessing the suitability and adaptability of commercially
available products or services to satisfy legal requirements;

 Identifying those elements of the requirements that may pose
significant risks and added costs;

 Determining the status of applicable technology and the extent and
success of its commercial application;

 Conducting industry briefings or pre bidding conferences/discussions
with potential contractors/suppliers to discuss requirements and to
obtain recommendations.

 Publicizing new specifications in newspapers etc. and, when
appropriate, issuing Invitation/Solicitations/invitations for
informational or planning purposes far enough in advance to permit
generation and consideration of industry comment.

 Attending industry and scientific conferences and acquiring
literature about commercial products, industry trends, Goods, Works
and Non-Consultant Services availability, business practices, product/
service reliability, and prices;

 Testing and evaluating commercial products in a judiciary operating
environment to develop reliable performance data, determine any
necessary modifications, and develop operational cost information;

 Analyzing the purchase history of requirements to determine the
level of competition, prices, and performance results;

 Publishing sources-sought notices in Newspapers in accordance with
relevant laws.

 Consulting with other MDAs or other non government agencies, and/
or non-profit organizations.
