“Purchasing and Supply Practice” refers to the application of
science to the want of men in the areas of purchasing, supply,
procurement, stores, logistics, materials or warehouse management with
the consent of the client.
The practice activities covers Purchasing and Supply planning,
implementation, monitoring, evaluation and Audit etc , and includes
but is not limited to advising and rendering of services in the
conduct of the various shapes of bidding processes, preparation of
bidding documents and other details of procurement on behalf of
clients ,for a fee , in consultation with the relevant
professional sector specialists .
A person engages in the practice of Purchasing and Supply
Management by maintaining an office where he is held out to be a
Procurement practitioner and counseling clients in purchasing, supply,
procurement, stores, logistics, materials or warehouse management,
negotiating Purchasing and Supply Management contracts with client/
other contracting parties about terms and conditions of contract etc
and fixing and collecting fees for services rendered to clients and
by his professional specialist Associates.
