The term country code frequently refers to ISO 3166-1 alpha-2, as well as the telephone country code, which is embodied in the E.164 recommendation by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).

In telecommunication, a country code, or international subscriber dialing (ISD) code, is a telephone number prefix used in international direct dialing (IDD) and for destination routing of telephone calls to a country other than the caller's. A country or region with an autonomous telephone administration must apply for membership in the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) to participate in the international public switched telephone network (PSTN). County codes are defined by the ITU-T section of the ITU in standards E.123 and E.164.

Country codes constitute the international telephone numbering plan, and are dialed only when calling a telephone number in another country. They are dialed before the national telephone number. International calls require at least one additional prefix to be dialing before the country code, to connect the call to international circuits, the international call prefix. When printing telephone numbers this is indicated by a plus-sign (+) in front of a complete international telephone number, per recommendation E164 by the ITU.

So in this case, the country code/prefix is not a seperate Property unto itself- When it shows up in Forms, it's more of a visual aid for entering in the correct country code. If you're working within Lists or Workflows and need to filter out a given country I'd recommend using the Contains Any Of filter, using the appropriate Country Code as a filter (In the following screenshot I've used the Irish code, +353 as an example)

From my bit of research I understand that Apple uses the first or dominant 802.11d Wifi country code it sees when restarting to apply the relevant Wifi settings for that country. All good if that is the right country and the same country as the home Wifi is set to.

This process is automated and not configurable on the Mac. Apple's own advice if a different country code is identified when running the network diagnostics is to chat to the owner of the device and get it changed.

If the ORBI country code is factory set, then any changes I think I am making to the country code may just be cosmetic. This would explain why the User Interfact says AU, the network interface says US. But that really is just a guess.

If there is no way to change the current ORBI basestation country code broadcast, I have a number of options. I could continue to live with the issue, I could change Wifi network technology, I could switch from Mabooks to say Windows, or I could upgrade the ORBI. This last option would at least give me a product that would be in warranty if I experience the same issue.

An amazing amount of work! Thanks for the thorough explanation. I think you are entirely correct. The Orbi router is "simply wrong." I have no explanation for how the router and satellite could possibly broadcast two different country codes. The satellite should "inherit" settings from the router.

It seems to be the wifi client, the Mac, that reports the country code. The natural assumption would be to point the finger at the Mac, after all, other devices don't behave in the same way. But there does seem to be something odd going on here.

Since updating, my iMac will connect to the WiFi through the Orbi and give me access to my home network so I can access all the NAS's. However, it will not give me access to the internet, and this is now the only computer that cannot access the internet. having run the wireless diagnostics utility, it appears that this is because of the country code being broadcast by the Orbi which is DE. This is a UK bought Orbi that has only been used in the UK.

It actually is not the wrong country code. When you select Europe for your area, Orbi country code is DE/GB. Most computers accept this, and DE is used as a default for Europe. The issue lies with Apple and the iMac you just updated. The country code for Orbi is factory set for choice and is not user accesible as is. You may try telenet to get in and change the country to WW. I have not experimented with this so would not want to post any process but there is some indication from other Netgear routers that this is not an uncommon issue with iMac's and Netgear routers in Europe.

The iMacs in question, knowing your loction, are not accepting DE, the first location, as a viable location. That is the iMac's fault. It should. It rejects the location, believing that its own performance will be compromised by a router not operating coincident with the country's standards. Your router is. A couple of code lines from Apple would fix this. As I mentioned, if you do not want to deal with Apple, then the only other thing is to employ telnet and try to change your country code to world wide. However, I am unsure if the iMac would still freak out, since it seems to want only one specific country.

I actually saved all the country names and code in my bubble database. I also did search for countries but I want a scenario whereby when I click the country name and code , it will show the country code as the value

I have been using signal for years and got a new phone, imported the contacts to the new phone. Created a new signal account with the new number. Now many of the contacts (from the US) have had the country code added to the prefix of the number.

I agree that Country code should be optional. Need the ability to remove it from form. This is redundancy for us as all our business is in the USA.
Hope someone from Monday.com will read this topic.

EDGAR State and Country Codes are documented in EDGAR Form D XML Technical Specification and EDGAR Ownership XML Technical Specification. These codes are used for XML filings of Ownership Reports (Forms 3, 4, 5), Form D and Form ID in EDGAR.

The codes can also be used for EDGAR Company Searches and Historical Archives Searches. Note that the new codes may differ from past EDGAR state and country codes. Searches on State and Country codes will return results based on the code used by the filer at the time of the filing. The following changes have been made to the state and country codes on February 2010:

The Root Zone Database represents the delegation details of top-level domains, including gTLDs such as .com, and country-code TLDs such as .uk. As the manager of the DNS root zone, we are responsible for coordinating these delegations in accordance with our policies and procedures.
