I can download google maps and an html file is created but it does not
display correctly. I get only the title and top border with "print",
"send" and "link" (no icons). I do not see an obvious problem with
the html code.

I am running Ubuntu 8.04 and Firefox 3.0.10 on an Athalon 64. Any
idea what I am doing wrong?

<bump>

I have the same problem. Also running Ubuntu (8.10) and an AMD
processor (Turion X2).

I'm pretty sure this project was designed to work with mobile devices,
but I would like to get it to work on my laptop. As far as I can tell,
the maps are downloading fine but not being saved. There is nothing in
the /ogmaps/data/tiles folder - it is completely empty. There are four
random tiles mixed in with assorted .png icons in the /ogmaps/data
folder that change every time I try to re-download.

From what I read in the read-me, it sounds like the Beautiful Soup
files aren't working. The tiles are downloaded but not converted and
therefore not saved (then again, I know nothing of how this program or
Beautiful Soup works or how python works in general).
