Sir,

We have a problem with artifact resolution in maven. We use our own
artifact repositories, that are set as proxies. Those repositories are
sometimes down and when we try to build anything then, the build fails
 with the following error:

 [INFO] artifact org.apache.maven.plugins:maven-clean-plugin: checking
 for updates from central
[WARNING] repository metadata for: 'artifact org.apache.maven.plugins:maven-clean-plugin'
could not be retrieved from repository: central due to an error: Error transferring file
[INFO] Repository 'central' will be blacklisted
<< Same warnings for other repos >>
 [INFO] ------------------------------------------------------------------------  [ERROR] BUILD ERROR
 [INFO] ------------------------------------------------------------------------
[INFO] The plugin 'org.apache.maven.plugins:maven-clean-plugin' does not exist or no valid version could be found But still Error exists!!..

v Have also tried these..
mvn -U clean or mvn -up clean.. But still Error Exists!!.. Pls Reply this time as u didn't replied my last Post..

Hi Deepak

Marlon asked you to check maven version. Gadget container need maven version 2.2.1 or higher. Please update your maven version and then try.

If the problem still exist then we can work with you and try to debug through that.

Thanks
Raminder

Please tell us which version of maven you are using.  Use the command  mvn -v

Also please confirm which OGCE download you are trying to build.  Maven 2.2.1 applies to the latest "ogce all" build.

Thanks--

Hi Deepak

If you are still building ogce-portal-only-2.5-release you don't need Maven 2.2.1. From the screenshot it does not show any proper error. You help you, we would like to know what are your goals of this exercise?
Please send the compete details and we can help you to achieve that.

Thanks
Raminder

Deepak,

I dont see maven 2.2.1 mentioned in this file its 2.0.7. Copying the content from the readme file you sent. Please try to follow the instructions closely.

2. Add Maven 2's mvn to your path export PATH=$HOME/maven-2.0.7/bin:$PATH

We can have a short session if you give me your requirements. As i told you earlier this is from portlet code. You need portlets or gadgets?

Thanks
Raminder

Sir,
We are planning to build a Grid Portal to be used for web resource sharing using Ogce.
For its Installation, we are following the instructions from "README.INSTALL". and For completion of the second stage, we requires maven2.2.1.
For complete details i'm sending you the same text file required for ogce installation.
Thanking you.

Warm Regards,
