" This experience teaches you that's it not about you but in a way its also all about you, how to be aggressive and yet be patient, how success and handling people are factors where your logic and practicality go down the drain, how you need to lead from the front and step back at the right time to develop other leaders, how your ego can both motivate and de-motivate someone, how sometimes what you think is right really does not matter and the list can go on and on.

These are lessons that you learn from valuable experiences that come as a by product of the complete experience. All of us have data and knowledge, even if we don't we can gather that but what we really need is to develop intuition which can only come from such strong experiences. The combination of knowledge and intuition are the ingredients that define the leaders of the present world and that's exactly what being an LCP is all about!"
- Apurav Agrawal, LCP 2007, AIESEC Chandigarh

" Being LCP was the most fulfilling leadership experience I have had in AIESEC because it is the most challenging and rewarding year of my life.
You go from being just another 20-something to being responsible for 18-somethings for whom you are AIESEC and everything it stands for! For me, it was a chance to not only discover the kind of leader I could be, but the kind of person I could be.
The process of running for LCP, becoming LCP, being LCP and then, the most difficult one, not being LCP - each stage has something extremely valuable and life-transforming to offer. "
- Manveer Singh Grewal, LCP 2008, AIESEC Chandigarh

" There are times when you are completely on your own, there are times when you feel pounded by a hammer in your head, there are times which test your understanding of human behavior, there are times which make you believe and achieve what was impossible and then there are times when all of this happens together to you, that's the only time you discover your best form of existence, that's the only time you feel real & happy about what you've become and will be, what you were doesn't matter. The most important bit, when all of this is happening, you still are not thinking about yourself, it's always about those LC members, the vision each one carries & the the sense of achievement. Being LCP makes you live a larger role, a role which is the ultimate form of Leadership, Commitment & Passion. "
- Sahil Dewan, LCP 2010, AIESEC Chandigarh

Dear AIESEC in Chandigarh

It's time for a strong legacy to transition into a new era. Not long back some of our amazing
leaders envisioned a meaning of AIESEC which did not exist before, envisioned members who would have life changing experiences and
our LC to exist in it's best form. The last few years have been amazing for the Local Chapter with every single second of effort and hard
work put in by it's amazing members taking it closer to that vision.

This year has seen the Local Chapter advancing towards a state, close to that of an ideal LC where all of it's members have
contributed unconditionally to take the LC to where it deserves. Today the LC stands at a niche, it's not important where it is,
it's important where it will go from here & it's important if there will be someone passionate and ambitious to take it towards the vision of being an ideal LC.

On this note, I hereby declare candidatures
for the post of

Local Committee President

2013-14, AIESEC Chandigarh
