I cant programe, I dont know much about hardware anymore, but I want
this to work. In my mind what will happen is eventually the game
developers will push for certian features in the next console
standard. They will push for this, and begg for that, why? Because
they want to use that feature, or they have a game comming that could
really change with that feature, etc.... When this happens, the games
available will be fantastic, unique, and hopfully worth playing
(although I only invision myself playin a very select few games, I
dont want to spend $500 on a console, and then $40-60 per game! One or
the other is ok in my book, not both :P

I can hit the ground running I can talk to people I can put my own
system togeather (probibly in a mini atx case... but still) I cant do
any of this by myself. I will (when required) talk to people who make
games that are allready available, and see if they can be ported over.
There are a few non-free games that are really good on linux, one off
the top of my head is a space trader (I cant remember the name, but I
played it for 2 years...) and is multiplatform! It looks great, so
much so that I couldnt run at nearly full resolution! I dont see why
we couldnt adpot the game to the system, etc....

I'm shy when I can afford to be but am outgoing enough to talk to
these people, informally, or formally. I cant write well but I can
speak just fine and would be happy to see what it would take for some
of these companies.

I just want/need to know the hardware specs wont change (I plan to run
their games on the system so I can say I've allready got it running,
lol just want your approval to sell your product... who would really
refuse that offer?

Anything else I can do, just let me know!

ps: Fetch or yer own caffeine;P

The hardware spec has not been updated in over a year. Please DO NOT
try to build a prototype right now. It Will be Incompatible

I will be finalizing the Level 1 spec and building my prototype around
March or so it's looking like.

I figured that, I just want to know when its set in stone, that it
will be set in stone... yaknow?

also is it feasable to use a mini or nano itx mainboard? I know they
are a little bit more expensive, but would help put everything in a
smaller box...

Am I correct in assuming that linux support for multiple processors is
still lacking, or is there a way to use that? Because I believe its
cheaper to get two midrange processors, then one higher end one... Not
to mention that after awhile they get a bit more power and thermally
effecient from what I understand....

Whats the progress on the home UI, do we have somthing at all to start
tweaking yet or nothing as of yet?

There's no actual code yet, but I have the end result planned out.
Probably going to code it in Python and use the Clutter toolkit.

I'm not the greatest in python, but am willing to try my hand at it, I
may need some hand holding, or specific tasks, like figure out how to
accomplish this etc...

What I lack in instant knowledge I usually make up for in using the
resources at hand, including reading lots n lots of webpages :P
