HOPE Youth Action Board program applications open!

We’re very excited to announce that HOPE’s Youth Action Board is currently accepting applications for our 2021-2022 session. We are going into this new year with revamped programming, teams and can’t wait to start working alongside a cohort of new and returning youth!
Youth Action Board is a training program for youth to build leadership through HOPE, our Oakland community, and broader policy-making. The Youth Action Board (YAB) provides an opportunity for youth who demonstrate leadership potential and a commitment to the HOPE's work to develop skills in advocacy, grassroots community organizing, storytelling, and communications, all while deepening their knowledge of food justice. We believe that youth leadership development will create the conditions for increased economic and civic community ownership.
This year YAB will begin programming on October 12th. For more detail, find our Fall programmatic calendar linked HERE.
