Dear partners,

This week there is an opportunity to provide input into school food at the California state level (just to clarify, this is not affiliated with our OUSD Student Advisory Council, but very relevant!) You are welcome to share this with middle and high school students who might be interested.

Register by Wednesday 1/27 for the Thursday or Friday sessions (this week), and I'd love to know if anyone you know attends!

Here are the details:

You are invited to participate in a virtual Youth Community Roundtable on January 28th or 29th, 2021 at 4-5pm PT (that's this week).

The goal of this roundtable is to gather youth input regarding school food. Youth perspectives will then inform the California Farm to School Advisory Group, which is convening to create a unified vision and roadmap for what school food in California should look like going forward.

Middle-to-high school aged youth are eligible to participate. If you are interested, you and your parents should complete the registration and consent form by Wednesday January 27, 2021 at 5pm PT.

·       Thursday, January 28 Registration: www.surveymonkey.com/r/thurjan28

·       Friday, January 29 Registration: www.surveymonkey.com/r/frijan29

After completing and submitting the form, youth participants will receive the Zoom link and joining information. Guidelines for participation will be provided at the beginning of the Zoom call.

Please let us know if you have any questions. Thanks so much for your time!

Sincerely,
The CDFA Office of Farm to Fork Team
