Hi Lovely OFPC Community,

We sent out the following questions to all of the Oakland School Board Candidates and received these responses:

• What is your stance on GFPP?
• What is your plan for the Central Kitchen?
• Additional questions from OFPC community members:
• What is your stance on the use of police in schools?  
• How would the recovered funds be directed (if you are willing to defund the police force)? 
• Do schools have gardens or any education/training (esp. on issues that OFPC is working on)/health promoting curriculum (nutrition)?

Only 3 candidates have replied so far, and while we may not get all of their responses in before Election Day, we will continue to reach out to find out who will be a champion for good food policy and practices for Oakland students. Please see the PDF attached for their responses.
