A demonstration is planned for Friday, 12/16/11 at Sen. Bill Nelson's office. The demonstration will be at 1 pm and the purpose is to express support for Sen Bernie Sanders bill to repeal Citizen's United. Those who oppose that bill are welcome as well. This event is sponsored by Empower the Electorate a group dedicated to bringing issues up for discussion, registering voters and improving voter turnout.

Information about Sanders version of the "OCCUPIED" Amendment can be found athttp://sanders.senate.gov/newsroom/news/?id=7AFC6D2C-7C24-4CB6-80C3-74CDF7E383A3

Signs should focus on Amend the Constitution , Defend our Democracy Get the Money out of Politics, Humans Needs Not Corporate Greed, I won't believe corporations are people until one is executed! Get Big Money out of Campaigns, Pack Up the PACS and send them away, etc.

People should also contact the Judiciary committee to get the bill out of there and get it a full floor vote.

to house judiciary committee members:

To:  The Honorable Representative (insert name)

Rep. Ted Deutch has filed a bill to amend the Constitution (HJ Res.
90) that is currently pending in the Constitution sub-committee.  This
bill deals with an issue of primary concern to many citizens, the
repeal of the Citizen's United v. FEC decision and campaign reform.  A
majority of the country supports the goal of this bill which is to
remove the influences of big money on our electoral process.

It is imperative that this bill be approved by the sub-committee and
your full committee and sent out to the floor of the House for a vote.
A vote against this bill is a vote against the rights of the
citizens to have a free and fair election, and a vote for creation of
a corporate state that disregards the will of the people.

The people will be watching this vote and you must remember who your
real constituents are.  You represent the people, not artificial
persons.

I trust you will make the correct decision on this important issue.

                                             Sincerely,
