The SLI is a program that offers support, professional development, and networking for K-16 language educators seeking to employ contemporary, research-supported best practices for world language instruction in their classrooms. The focus is to both help you modify existing curricula and create new course materials that adhere to ACTFL World-Readiness Standards for Learning Languages.
The workshop theme this year is “Impactful Practices in the World Language Classroom,” and will be held June 8th and 9th, 2026. A certificate for up to 16 hours of professional development will be available after you attend. Registration is $50.
As of this moment, we can support the registration fee of up to fifty local world-language teachers. A total reimbursement of the registration fee will be given upon your attendance at the workshop.
