Join OWLA Beginning Teacher Committee

Hi OWLA Members,

The OWLA Beginning Teacher Committee is looking for more committee members. If you are interested in being a part of this committee, please let me know.

Our objectives include:

• Hosting monthly webinars for pre-service/beginning teachers,
• Connecting beginning teachers with WL mentors,
• Creating and posting to the OWLA TikTok account to connect with pre-service/beginning teachers,
• Reaching out to teacher licensure programs to connect with pre-service teachers by providing presentations about OWLA & conference scholarships, and
• Developing events & incentives to attract beginning teachers to join OWLA.

The commitment will involve occasional email/phone communication, quarterly meetings with the committee and as much or as little of your time to help us reach our objectives.
