To whom it may concern,
My name is Chris Klosterman, and I teach social studies at Clay High School in Oregon, Ohio. I am writing to ask whether you might consider sharing the attached flyer in an upcoming Ohio Social Studies Signal Newsletter or another appropriate communication channel for Ohio social studies educators.
The flyer highlights the Goethe-Institut’s Transatlantic Outreach Program, or TOP, a fully funded professional learning seminar in Germany for K–12 educators, curriculum directors and university level teachers involved in social studies methods. More information about the program is available here:

I completed the program this summer and found it to be an outstanding professional learning experience. The seminar is supported by the Goethe-Institut, the German Foreign Office, and Deutsche Bank, and includes international travel, lodging, bilingual guides, and most meals. During the program, we visited Frankfurt, Berlin, and former East-West German border communities, including Vacha and Geisa. I returned with classroom ideas and resources connected to contemporary Germany, the Cold War, democratic institutions, reunification, civic education, and global perspectives.
I am sharing this flyer as part of my post-tour multiplier activity and would be grateful if the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce would be willing to distribute it to interested social studies educators.
I have attached the flyer for your consideration. For my reporting purposes I would simply need an estimate of how many people the Signal newsletter reaches or the approximate number on the distribution list.
