Dear OWLA Members,
As mentioned during this year’s OWLA conference at Ohio Dominican University, we are excited to invite a limited number of OWLA members to join us for a special OWLA Member Camp Visit Day at Camp OFLA on Wednesday, June 10, 2026!
We have space for 10 OWLA member visitors, and registration is now open through WildApricot.
This special visit day will be led by Jonathan Harris, Early Language Learning Chair of OWLA, and Mrs. Vickie Harris!
During the visit, guests will have the opportunity to:
Tour Camp OFLA
Visit and observe camp classes and activities
Meet camp teachers and staff
Enjoy lunch at camp
Participate in afternoon activities, crafts, or cooking
Gather for an early campfire with s’mores and stories
Our hope is that this experience gives members a chance to see the energy and creativity of camp programming firsthand and explore ways to bring that spirit back into their own classrooms and communities.
Registration is first come, first served:

In addition, as schools begin cleaning out classrooms and lockers for the summer, Camp OFLA is currently accepting donations for camp and for a newly created teacher work room and student lounge.
We are especially looking for:
Consumable classroom supplies
Art supplies
Teacher equipment and classroom materials
Organizational supplies
Flower- and bee-themed furniture and decorations for a student lounge
The camp team has representatives all over the state — from Toledo to Cincinnati, and Lancaster to Cleveland — and we are grateful to help coordinate donation pickups to make things easier on y’all!
If you or your school have items to donate, we would greatly appreciate your support.
We are looking forward to welcoming OWLA members to camp for what promises to be a fun and inspiring day!
Warmly,
Jesse Baum
