Dear French-Teaching OWLA Colleagues,

 

Before the holidays, I forwarded information from Villa Albertine at the French Consul in Chicago about two opportunities for French teachers and their programs:

  • A call for projects to support K-12 French programs, French dual language and immersion programs, and French heritage language programs
  • French for All Summer Institute for K-12 and university French teachers.

 

As you will note from the message below, the deadline to apply for all these opportunities has been moved back to Monday, February 2, 2026. Click on the embedded links below for additional information and to apply.

Villa Albertine and Albertine Foundation invite K–12 educators specialized in French as a World Language to apply for two exciting opportunities: the French for All Summer Institute, a fully funded professional development program taking place at the University of Texas at Austin in June, and the K–12 Education Call for Proposals, which offers grants to support projects that bring French language and culture into classrooms.

Mark your calendars! The second annual French For All (FFA) Summer Institute will take place from June 22–26, 2026 at the University of Texas – Austin. French K–12 teachers and university professors passionate about subjects as diverse as optimizing language teaching through AI and French for professional purposes are encouraged to apply by February 2, 2026.
