Dear Colleagues,

I hope your school year is going well. I am reaching out to let you know that at the Department of Spanish and Portuguese at OSU we are doing our best to continue supporting you in the teaching of heritage classes. I wanted to send you a save the date note for a free workshop that will be led by Dr. Sergio Loza, a leading scholar in Spanish heritage language education and the Director of the Spanish Heritage Language Program at the University of Oregon. In his workshop, Dr. Loza will focus on Critical Language Awareness and its application to curriculum design promoting inclusion and respecting diversity in the language classroom.

The event will be free and take place on Saturday, April 18 from 9am – 12:00pm. Validation stickers for parking and certificates with three contact hours will be provided.
