Dear OWLA Colleagues in Your First 5 Years of Teaching,
Please be reminded of the upcoming Beginning Teachers Virtual Meetup on Wednesday, April 29, from 4-5 p.m. See the full announcement below:
Ohio World Language Association Beginning Teachers Virtual Meetup on April 29
Registration for the virtual meetup on Wednesday, April 29, 4-5 p.m.
World language teachers in their first five years of teaching are invited to this free monthly event hosted by the Ohio World Language Association (OWLA) and the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce (DEW). Engage in networking and professional learning topics designed for beginning teachers. At this session, explore practical ways to boost student motivation and classroom engagement. Experienced educators will share simple strategies, activities, and mindset shifts that help students feel more confident, curious, and willing to communicate in the target language. Connect with fellow teachers, exchange ideas, and walk away with fresh inspiration to make language learning more meaningful and motivating for students. Contact hours will be provided. For more information, contact Beginnin...@owlaohio.org.
It’s that time of the year when student motivation can fall to an all-time low, so this is a great topic to give you some ammunition to fire up your students and help them to continue learning through this final stretch! Please consider attending.
Many regards,
