World Language Resources and Opportunities Ohio's Model Curriculum for World Languages and Cultures Ohio world language educators are invited to explore the Department's Model Curriculum for World Languages and Cultures. The model curriculum: deconstructs the Ohio standards for Novice Low - Advanced Low proficiency in communication, cultures, and literacy skills; provides intercultural outcomes and authentic resources for each proficiency level; includes specific sections for Classical Languages, American Sign Language, and Elementary/Immersion programs; provides target language Career Connections outcomes for each proficiency level; includes sample intercultural units with standards-based lessons and assessments for multiple languages. Call for Proposals Ohio World Language Association Annual Conference Submit a Proposal. The Ohio World Language Association is accepting proposals for their annual conference on March 19-21, 2026, in Columbus. The deadline to submit is Sep. 25. High School Spanish and French Immersion Days Wright State Spanish Immersion Day, Oct. 28. Registration. Wright State University invites high school Spanish students and teachers to their annual Spanish Immersion Day on Oct. 28, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. This event is open to students enrolled in Spanish 3 or above. The deadline to register is Oct. 1. Ohio State French Immersion Day, Nov. 3. Registration. The Ohio State University invites high school French students and teachers to their first annual French Immersion Day on Nov. 3, from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. This event is open to students enrolled in French 3 or above.
