Dear OWLA Colleagues,

Healthy and well-rested students make for the best world language students! Please see the message below from Ohio Lieutenant Governor Jim Tressel and consider ways you might incorporate the Team Tressel Fitness Challenge into an upcoming lesson, conversation, field day event, etc.

Many warm regards,

Tressel

Team Ohio,

Thank you for your commitment to public service. I wanted to reach out to ask a quick favor that will make a real difference for young people across our state.

The Team Tressel Fitness Challenge is giving students in Ohio the chance to prioritize their health through fitness, nutrition, sleep, and goal setting — while also building confidence, teamwork, and a sense of accomplishment along the way. It's been exciting to see the difference this program has already made in so many Ohio schools.

We're now getting ready for the fall challenge, and we need your help to reach even more schools.

You probably know someone connected to a school — whether it's your child's teacher, a principal, a coach, a neighbor, a friend, or a family member. A quick conversation, email or text from you could help introduce a school to the challenge.

Schools can sign up now at TeamTressel.Ohio.gov

We want Ohio to be the healthiest state in the nation, and that starts with our kids.

Thank you for all you do each day for our state. Please help us spread the word!

With appreciation,

Jim Tressel signature

Jim Tressel, Lt. Governor of Ohio
