OWLA is excited to host Turn Up Your Target Language: Strategies that Stick! with teacher, trainer, author, and presenter Bryan Kandel.
Exposure to the Target Language is an essential component to the growth of any World Language student. As they hear and read the language in authentic situations, students improve their ability to process and then produce it themselves. The teacher's voice is a great source of Target Language exposure in the classroom. However, using the language in a comprehensible manner can be a challenge. In this session, we will explore strategies, mindsets and techniques to help teachers use the Target Language 90% of the time or more. We will demonstrate activities that can be used in class immediately to make a positive difference.
