The Fourth District is currently investigating a shooting that occurred in the 5400 block of Georgia Ave NW. The victim sustained a gunshot wound to the lower body and was transported to an area hospital. The 5400-5500 block of Georgia Ave NW will be temporarily closed while MPD investigates.
