MPD Investigating Fatal Southeast Shooting
(Washington, D.C.) – Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's Homicide Branch are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred in Southeast.
On Sunday, May 5, 2024, at approximately 7:41 p.m., Seventh District officers responded to the 3500 block of Stanton Road, Southeast, for the reports of sounds of gunshots. While officers were on-scene investigating, two victims suffering from gunshot wounds arrived at an area hospital for treatment. Despite all lifesaving efforts, an adult male succumbed to his injuries. The second victim, an adult male, was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
The decedent has been idetinfied as 31-year-old Anthony White, of Northwest.

On Monday, May 6, 2024, at approximately 1:07 a.m., officers responded to the 3100 block of Buena Vista Terrace, Southeast, for the sound of gunshots. Upon arrival, officers located a man on the sidewalk with gunshot wound injuries. He died at the scene.
The victim’s identity is being withheld pending a positive identification and next of kin notification.

MPD Investigating Fatal Southeast Shooting
(Washington, D.C.) – Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred in Southeast.
On Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at 2:01 p.m., officers responded to the 3400 block of 25th Street, Southeast, for the report of a shooting. Officers located a man inside a residence suffering from apparent gunshot injuries. DC Fire and EMS responded to the scene, and after finding no signs of life, the victim was pronounced dead.
The decedent has been identified as 42-year-old Tremaine Nicholson, of no fixed address.
