MPD Arrests Suspects in Northeast Robbery 

   

(Washington, D.C.) – The Metropolitan Police Department announces the arrest of two suspects in an armed robbery in Northeast. 

 

On Sunday, February 1, 2026, at approximately 7:34 p.m., Sixth District officers responded to the report of a robbery in the 4200 block of Edson Place, Northeast. The suspects, both brandishing handguns, approached the victim and demanded property. The victim was not injured. Responding officers determined the suspects fled to a nearby apartment. Officers located both suspects and placed them under arrest without incident. The victim’s property and two firearms were recovered. 

 

As a result of the detective's investigation, 18-year-old Malachi Demar Boahene of Southeast, DC, and a 17-year-old male of Southeast, DC, were both charged with Robbery while Armed and Carrying a Pistol without a License.
