MPD Makes Arrest in Fatal Stabbing
(Washington, D.C.) – The Metropolitan Police Department announces an arrest in a fatal stabbing that occurred inside a home in Northwest.
On Sunday, June 8, 2025, at approximately 12:30 a.m., Fourth District officers responded to the report of a stabbing in a residence in the 4100 block of 7th Street, Northwest. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male, suffering from stab wounds. DC Fire and EMS responded to the scene and after all lifesaving efforts failed, the man was pronounced dead on the scene. Officers placed the suspect under arrest and recovered a knife.
The decedent has been identified as 27-year-old Jonathan Fuentes-Ferrufino of Northwest, DC.
As a result of the detectives’ investigation, 25-year-old Leslie Flores of Northwest, DC was charged with Second Degree Murder while Armed.
The detectives’ investigation determined that the offense is domestic in nature.

On Friday, June 13, 2025, at approximately 2:28 p.m., Seventh District officers responded to the report of a stabbing inside of a residence in the 2400 block of Alabama Avenue, Southeast. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male victim, unconscious and not breathing, suffering from a stab wound. DC Fire and EMS responded to the scene and after all lifesaving efforts failed, the victim was pronounced dead. Officers placed the suspect under arrest and recovered a knife.
The decedent has been identified as 30-year-old Devante Offutt of Gaithersburg, MD.
As a result of the detectives’ investigation, 25-year-old Deja Hines of Southeast, DC was charged with Second Degree Murder while Armed.
The detectives’ investigation determined that the offense is domestic in nature.
