Hi, Gang of Cap 1 Officers (both current and incoming),

 

I just updated the list of officers for the coming year on the Toastmasters International website. 

See confirmation email received, below.

 

One of the responsibilities of being an officer is to attend Toastmasters Leadership Institutute, both in the summer and the winter, to learn (or refresh) your responsibilities, ask questions about how things are done, network with your counterparts in other clubs, and get up to speed and start to function as a team.  The first TLI is set for this Saturday at GEICO, a few blocks from the Friendship Heights station on Metro's Red Line.  Registration opens at 8:30.  The officer training is 9 to 11, followed by optional electives from 11 to 1.  I'll be teaching an elective on "How To Give A Winning Humorous Speech" from 12 to 1.  I highly recommend TLI, and hope to see you there.  For further information on directions and the dates of additional TLI's over the next few months, please go to the District 36 website  (www.district36.org).  Believe me, showing up to TLI is the easiest point Cap 1 will earn for its 2011-12 Distinguished Club Program (DCP).   There's ample parking and the entrance to the building is from the underground garage.  You don't need to registrer in advance, and the training is free.  There's no greater predictor for club excellence than if its officers attend TLI!

Thanks for sending out this info, Jim! I was trying to add the new people to the Cap 1 officers list but I think I may not have admin rights to do that. Dick, could you do it? Then when the official switch happens in July we can unsubscribe the outgoing officers. I'm so excited about this new team! 2011-2012 is going to be great :)
