For the last Office Hours of the year we are going to have a bit of a departure from our normal format. Nevertheless, I think this is an opportunity to explore a topic that has come up in office Hours several times in the last 2 years and have an informative discussion about it.
The global shortage of chips has caused significant disruption in the global economy. Office Hours, in a discussion led by Dr Tomaz Slivnik will explore the questions: How dependent is the world economy on Taiwan? What can we do to prepare?
The potential ramifications are surprising and much more extensive than you might imagine.
Tomaz is both a long standing member of the Office Hours Group and runs a chip production company he founded 20 year ago.
Please do join us at noon for 1 hour. We will meet both in the Makespace Classroom and on Zoom.
