This week in Office Hours Nick Morley is presenting a challenge facing his company, Grounded
AI.
Fundamental progress in AI is unlocking new potential for boosting human
productivity. However, tuning and integrating the technology into your
workflow still requires a specialist team to implement and maintain it. Grounded
AI is building an AI assistant platform to help solve common problems
around productising and embedding AI assistants into human workflows. Solving
these problems is a major part of the journey to making human work ever
faster, easier, more error resistant and ultimately more satisfying.
The
challenge we're facing now is how to navigate and formulate the
relationship with our first customer. We want to provide services now
while building our IP for later re-use. How do we balance revenue now
and IP later (have our cake and eat it too)? How do we strike an
agreement that maximises our long-term potential and also seems amply
fair and valuable to the customer? These are some of the questions we're
asking ourselves.
Customer relationship, especially the early ones, are always a learning curve. It will be a very good discussion I am sure.
