ADMIN: Still More Computer Problems

I am currently having e-mail problems. I can send e-mail, but nearly
every time I pull e-mail, my e-mail client freezes.
I had been doing mail on my old computer (after losing a month's
worth of my cyber-life when my new computer died soon after
purchase). I didn't trust this computer for a long time. Then the
old computer had to go in the shop for repairs...so I knew it was
time to make the e-mail switch to the new-ish computer.
But I hadn't pulled e-mail on this computer, and didn't know it
wasn't going to work out well!
So I'll be looking for a new e-mail client that plays more nicely
with my new-ish Intel Macintosh. Until I get it sorted out, I won't
be receiving e-mail like usual.
BTW, if any of you are Mac people out there...would you mind writing
me privately to tell me which e-mail client you use and how it works
for you?
