Slime Rancher is a charming, first-person, sandbox game that lets you explore a vast, colorful world filled with adorable slimes. You play as Beatrix LeBeau, a young rancher who sets out for a life on the Far, Far Range, where she tries to make a living by wrangling slimes and selling their plorts (slime poop) on the market. The game was developed and published by Monomi Park, an indie studio based in San Mateo, California. Slime Rancher was released on August 1, 2017, after being in early access since January 14, 2016. Since then, the game has received many updates and expansions that added new slimes, areas, gadgets, and features.
One of the latest updates for Slime Rancher is version 0.2.1, which was released on March 28, 2023. This update introduced several changes and bug fixes to the game, as well as a new deco gadget called the Frozen Flame.
