Hi, everyone!
My organization, Priorities USA, is doing a series of digital ads trainings across the country this year, and we'll be holding one in Des Moines in September.
Our digital team already knew it in 2012, and it keeps getting more obvious each year - digital advertising can be a key component of campaigns small or large, electoral or issue advocacy, cash strapped or Obama '08... and it's very easy to do if you know how.
If this sounds interesting to you, apply and let me know! Please also share with good people/organizations doing work in the state. The application closes on July 19th.
One caveat - we operate on the Independent Expenditure (aka Super PAC) side of things, which means that we sadly cannot have anyone at the training who is on the coordinated side. So, if you work for something like the IDP or a presidential campaign - or if you or your organization regularly works with groups like that, this won't be for you. If you also work for an IE organization, you don't currently work for anyone, or you work for an organization that isn't directly electoral (think issue advocacy), you should apply! Not sure where you fall on the spectrum? I'm happy to answer questions.
As always - hope you're all kicking ass and taking names. (And I know a few of you are.)
-Jill
