    Note that you don't need an advanced degree, many of you are qualified for

    *Senior Analyst Search – April 2013*
     
    *The Analyst Institute conducts large-scale randomized controlled
    experiments in coordination with Democratic campaigns and progressive
    political organizations to determine what works and what does not in voter
    contact and communication strategies. For more information, visit

    *Responsibilities:*
     
    The Senior Analyst(s) will work closely with partner organizations in
    developing, designing, executing, and analyzing randomized controlled
    experiments to evaluate aspects of their voter contact programs. Any given
    experiment will likely involve membership recruitment, voter registration,
    fundraising, voter persuasion, and/or get-out-the-vote efforts. The Senior
    Analyst(s) will work with a wide range of progressive organizations,
    including labor, environmental, gay rights, and pro-choice groups, in
    addition to candidate campaigns. This person must have experience with
    social scientific experiments, relevant statistical and methodological
    training, be self-motivated, and thrive in a dynamic start-up environment.
    This person may work as a part-time hourly employee (10+ hours per week) or
    as a full-time salaried employee of the Analyst Institute.
     
    *Qualifications:*
     
    The ideal candidate will have:
     
     
    - Experience designing and implementing social science experiments,
    especially field experiments.
    - Understanding of statistics and methods of social scientific
    measurement and causal inference.
    - Familiarity with academic research on persuasion, voter mobilization,
    or other relevant topics.
    - Some experience volunteering (or preferably working) with political
    campaigns or political organizations; existing relationships with staff and
    decision-makers at progressive political organizations is particularly
    desirable.
    - Detail oriented and highly organized with the ability to work well
    under tight deadlines.
    - Excellent verbal and written skills.
    - Familiarity with statistics software (Stata preferred, R, SPSS
    acceptable); mastery of one or more statistical software programs is
    particularly desirable.
    - Advanced degree (M.A., M.S., or Ph.D) in quantitative social sciences
    is preferred but not required.
     
    *Location:*
     
    The Analyst Institute is based in Washington DC near McPherson Square, and
    while ability to work out of the Analyst Institute offices is preferred,
    remote work arrangements are also possible.
