It's here. A conference for revolutionaries. You are invited to attend CNX 2014, "Making OER Work," the conference that brings together a unique variety of educators, policy makers, technologists, and students committed to improving access to education using open educational resources.
The conference marks a new chapter in Connexions, as we launch the new Connexions OER authoring and sharing platform. Created in partnership with Google, the Hewlett Foundation, and the Open Society Foundations, the new platform will make frictionless remix a reality.
We will also feature sessions on OpenStax College, whose OER college textbooks are now in use at over 450 educational institutions worldwide, saving students more than $5 million.
CNX 2014, "Making OER Work," is an opportunity to strip away ideological clutter and create pragmatic solutions to educational access using OER. Presenters representing many perspectives in education, policy and technology will share how they are conquering some of the education's most vexing problems with OER and making open access a reality.
Visit the conference website for details on speakers, travel, and more. The website is being updated daily, so be sure to check back often!
