Getting epubjs, reader, and hypothes.is out of individual books and into their own repos

Marvin's super simple HTML versions of the textbooks uses a reader that is in a separate repo - oerpub/epub-viewer. The html file for starting the book, basic-view.html  includes javascript from that repo epubviewer.js that injects stuff into the DOM. From what I can tell, it doesn't run into cross site scripting issues even if you fork one of the books. Here is my little test - http://kathi-fletcher.github.io/sf-demo-book/basic-view.html

So we have been discussing doing the same thing with epubjs and reader so that we don't have copies of them in every book, which is a maintenance nightmare.

Does anyone forsee a cross-site scripting problem with doing the same thing Marvin did for the simple epub-viewer?
