Do any of you want to get some exercise? Clint Freund, who I know
Abraham knows, gets a group together on Sunday to play futbol. It's a
very laid back group, but I'm thinking going downtown on the 31st,
coding for a little while and then going out to the park if the
weather is nice would be good. From an activist point of view, Clint
and his crew are of the anarchist inclination, a group I personally
feel has a lot to offer free software and visa versa. I think there
is a large contingent of back-to-landers in that group and those that
see technology as a purely capitalist tool and not a tool as any other
such tool, such as a hammer.

Green computing and fair trade computing is something I've been very
interested in lately and I think there could be some very interesting
discussion. Basically, I want them to know that technology isn't, or
doesn't have to be, the enemy. If nothing else, I plan on going, so
it's something to plan around for me personally, but I think have a
contingent of people that believe in openness and transparency in
technology could prove better than a one-man show.

But, of course, there's the code. I have no idea where a good place
close to Brittingham
(http://www.cityofmadison.com/parks/major/BrittPark.html) for us would
be. Certainly Epic or Sundance aren't that close. I'm personally
fine driving myself there and you guys coding without me, but if we do
it at Epic, if I leave you guys have to leave.

We're two weeks off from this, so I guess we should pick a time and
place! Abraham will be just getting back from San Francisco, so I
don't think we should worry about accommodating him. On the other
hand, Brittingham Park would make it very easy for him to attend. I
just don't know where a good place would be.

Next weekend I'll be in North Dakota mostly without Internet access,
so let's try to get this figured out before then.

I never heard back from @geekazine about wisconsinbands.com, but if we
still want to keep with that project I think we should just do our own
thing and later we can think about merging the projects.
