Lithium mining in Bolivia

How about an analysis of this situation?

The multinationals fear that the Bolivian government will rip up their
contracts and that they will not get a return on their investments.
The government fears that the multinationals will plunder like
"capitalist vampires". The indigenous workers are mentioned briefly.
What are their concerns? Are the salt flats seen as something that can
be mined completely, or are the local people concerned about the
environmental impact of mining?

How does the Bolivian government convince the multinationals that they
will respect their contracts and not just nationalise the industry
when it looks like it might start to make a profit? How do the
multinationals persuade the Bolivian government that mining is in
their interest?
