Optics and Photonics Centre of IIT Delhi is happy to announce the launch
of "Optics & Photonics Public Lectures Series", with the Inaugural
Lecture 'GLASS TO GOOGLE' given by Professor Sir David Payne,
Optoelectronics Research Centre, University of Southampton, UK on 10th
November 2021 (Wednesday) at 5PM IST (More details available in the
attachment). These public lectures are being arranged under the public
outreach initiatives of Optics Learning Centre

I will be very happy, if you and your team could attend this Lecture by
Professor Sir David Payne. Professor Payne’s pioneering work in optical
fibre fabrication technology resulted in many of the special fibres used
today for optical communication and he led the team at Southampton that
invented the erbium-doped fibre amplifier which resulted into the EDFA
technology of today.

Being a Public Lecture, kindly bring it to the notice of anyone who may
be interested in the lecture.
