Dear Brenda,

As John is still recovering from his surgery and the date of the ODWS is approaching quickly would not you like to make this promotional interview alone?
And if yes when would it be appropriate for you during the next week or the latest between the 9th and the 13th of August??

I cc-d the Social Site Team as well since i won't be able to read my emails for most of the time next week and if you can make the interview, which we do hope a lot, some of my team mates (Marta Frigyik, Zoltan Sallai, Dora Gruiz or Eszter Kovacs) will help you out with all this.

I am looking forward to your kind response.

Thank you.

Best regards and quick recovery for John!

Dear Brenda and John,

During this week or the beginning of the next one we could do the interview practically any time that seems convenient for you.
Please, suggest us any time separately or together that suits you. Of course we are at your disposal at any later moment as well if it worked out better for you. On the other hand as the conference is approaching quickly we had better do it the earliest possible for you.

As for the questions, this is what we have on our minds:

Your session is called Applying a Gestalt Perspective to Consulting in Organizations: When Theory informs Practice. What is the essence of the Gestalt perspective? Why does it matter?
What do you mean by: When Theory Informs Practice?

How does an applied Gestalt Perspective support consulting in organizations?

How did you get involved with organization consulting applying Gestalt methodology?

How does your Consulting process work?

What enables someone to be successful working with Gestalt perspective in organization consulting?

What will you cover during your workshop?

Who should attend?

What would you tell us about 'your-unprofessional-self'? (hobbies, family, passion)

What else would you like to say?

Please do not forget that any questions of yours that you would like to be asked about, if you had, is more than welcome.

Looking forward to your response,
i send you our Best regards,

Hello Tamas,

I would suggest the you work out arrangements for the interview separate based on your email.  I will be out of the country until the week of July 5.  Possibly I can schedule time during that week.

Dear Brenda and John,

I am not sure right now how we could do this. The main problem with being in 3 different timezones during the interview resides in how to record it well.  What is more under these circumstances the conference call itself becomes even more unreliable than it is anyway.
Maybe we had better do two seperate interviews with each one of you asking the same questions and in the end we'll edit the material anyway..

You know as i mentioned it earlier the recording system of skype (or any other freeware application available) is quite unstable and unreliable during these calls. If we are in 3 different palces it is much worse.
Therefore so far we have asked all our interviewees to record the whole interview with an ordinary digital camera as well, which is put stably on a table and adjusted well on the face of the person being asked.
That is the only way to surely achieve a relatively good quality outcome. (If it is only us who record the conference call with the application provided by skype for this purpose according to our experience we will lose several valuable moments, for example the punchline of a joke or some important explanations that you are giving about your method or concept or the details of your MC.., as the system tends to temporarily break down every once in a while.)

So what do you say? Do you think it is viable to make two different interviews with the two of you but with the same questions?
As for the questions; we will prepare with some basic questions.
According to our concept we want the interview to be only half professional.
This means that we also want to charm participants that are not yet experts of this topic. Therefore we would like you to keep it professionaly simple, to give an easily undeartsandable introduction of what your MC will go about and a short descripiton of some concrete activites that is to be expect during the MC.
We thought of giving it a personal touch as well by getting to know you a little bit from your unprofessional side, like hobbies, family, any special fields of interest. Something like this.

Please be aware that the main goal of this interview is to promote your MC so please share those questions that you would like to be asked about. This way you could stress certain aspects of your MC or your methodology in which we would like to be of help. Do you have any questions like this on your mind?

Regarding the time: anytime these weekdays that suits you. Or the next week but not later if possible. We are in Central European Timezone (CET) which is 6 hours ahead to Maryland's US Eastern Timezone. Lesotho is in the same timezone as Budapest.

That is it for now. I am sorry for the long email.

Thank you.

Best regards,
Tamas

Subject: ODWS - (Virtual) Interview to promote your Master Class

Our esteemed Inspirational Leaders,

A while ago my dear colleague, Dia Bozsogi has asked you if you liked to give us a virtual interview so that we could promote your Master Classes much more effectively.
Some of you have liked the idea but most of you is just too busy to find enough time for getting it done.

So now we came up with a more time-effective solution where you wouldn't have to arrange one or two virtual meetings with us to make it.

Probably the most appropriate topic of the interview would be the same (or similar to) that your Master Class goes about.
The idea is that we would only send you some questions about the topic of your MC, you choose the ones that you'd like to answer and as much as you find enough to talk for 15-20 or 30 minutes. An assistant or colleague of yours would be in the role of the interviewer and an ordinary digital camera is enough to record it in a quite good quality in case it is put down on a steady surface. You would also need a silent meeting room or something similar, of course, to minimize disturbing background noise. Once it is done you can upload it to the net so that we can download it here.

Afterwards we arrange a time appropriate for you to attend its playback so that you can answer some of the questions coming LIVE from your audience after the playback of the interview. If we cannot find a proper moment we'll simply skip this LIVE questions part.

So that is the general idea.

Please let me know if you liked to make the interview this way or any other way that is viable for you.

Thank you very much for your time and support.

Best regards,

Tamás Avar

Dear Inspirational Leaders,

our main focus in this period is getting participants to the OD World Summit and to your Master Classes, and amongst the many we have one idea that would involve your virtual participation. Please find below the letter by Tamás Avar, the Leader of the team who worked on it, and reply to him as soon as it is convenient for you. Please address your questions and comments to him as well.

Warm wishes,
Dia

-------------------------------------

Our estemeed Inspirational Leader,

I'd like to introduce a very good opportunity to you in order to promote effectively the Master Class you will be holding at the Summit.
You find attached the whole concept, exposed in a single page document.

In a nutshell:
- we want to record a 30-40 minutes long interview with you about an OD topic that lately preoccupies you the most.
- we organize the largest audience possible mainly from our growing ODWS community for the playback of the interview in a previously agreed time.
- during the playback of the interview the audience can put questions to you, a little selection of them are to be answered by you LIVE right after the playback. Therefore we would need you to be taking attendance during the playback, but in case it was not possible we can find another way...
It will be presented on the ODWS Group of Ning.com social site AND on any other surface/group/site where you would like to appear.

Please let us know ASAP:

1) if you like the idea to advertise you MC this way?
2) What is the concrete topic/subject of the interview that you find attractive enough (for you and for the public as well)?
3) When do you think we could make the interview within the next 2-3 weeks? (Please indicate 2-3 possible appointments)
4) In which timezone do you live?
5) When exactly could you take attendance for the playback of the interview during the next 10 weeks in order to be able to respond the questions put to you in the chat. (Please indicate 2-3 possible moments)
6) In which timezone are you going to stay when it would be appropriate for you to playback the interview?

Looking forward to your quick response,
we send you our best regards,
Tamás Avar

Dear Brenda and John,

my name is Marta and I'm member of the Social Site team for ODWS.

Since Tamás isn't available this week he asked me to get in touch with you. We haven't heard from you for a couple of days now and were wondering how you are doing and what you think about the virtual interview we are planning to do.

Do you see it possible to arrange?

We still have 2 weeks untill the summit so we're sure we can find a time when it's appropriate for you.
Considering our previous experiences of these virtual interviews we think it is a really good opportunity to promote the master class and the live chat following the video playback is a more than inspiring and exciting experience for all participants!!! We think it would be great to make the interview with you!
We are ready to make the arrangements whenever it's convenient and possible for you. Just let us know how you are with it and what you are thinking.

We hope everything is ok, that John is getting better and better, and we are looking forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards,
Marta Frigyik
