Wonderinghow messaging will be have if there are two logic points as to whether the launcher button shows. On one hand, the web development team want to only have the launcher button show if the authenticated user's profile matches specific criteria - that's straight forward. But the other part of the business want to use predictive engagement to control the availability of the launcher button as well for controlling things like schedules etc.
Hard to provide a definitive answer without detailed use-case. In general, the Launcher can be disabled "until trigger": if any criteria is valid, across any "logic points", that will trigger the Launcher.
Do you have an example where there is a conflict across business logic?
I'm new to AF and have been following various guides around the Internet. To kick off my root actor, I followed the guide from Bloomy[1] to create a Launcher.vi. Startup sequence is: Launcher.vi > UI Actor > Hardware Control Actor. The user interacts with Actor Core of UI Actor. This is all working.
Before using the AF, a user could simply open & run the UI front panel, and I could launch that VI during EXE startup. With AF, there is always an empty Launcher.vi front panel, which is clunky for the user. Is there some way to hide this VI, or some way to launch the UI Actor directly?
I think there should be an example somewhere (sorry for no link) showing doing this with a Conditional Disable Structure checking the Runtime status (i.e. Close if runtime (exe), and don't close if not (Dev env))
Thanks, that's definitely a good workaround for now. I implemented FP.State = Hidden, Launch UI Actor, FP.Close, which still flashes the launcher to the user momentarily. I'd like to keep the discussion open to see if theres some way to truly hide or bypass the launcher.
[ ] Do not initially show the top-level VI's front panel. Warning: If you enable this, no panel will show up when you run your EXE. You will need to call Front Panel.Open manually or have your EXE run to completion without needing a front panel.
A checkbox somewhere sounds like a good idea. Right now the top-level VI (calling by EXE or right-click > Run) will apparently override the behavior of property Window Appearance > Customize > Show front panel when called. What if the top-level VI treated that setting the same way sub-VIs do? The EXE builder could show the warning conditionally when a Startup VI has the box unchecked.
Hello team,
I'm creating an application that uses the integrated Intercom messenger app triggered by Userflow resource center. so, from an option in the Userflow resource center, I want to open the Intercom messenger.
This works smoothly, however, I'm implementing a custom launcher, and even following the documentation's recommendations and keeping the attribute hide_default_launcher: true, every time Userflow opens the Intercom messenger, it automatically shows the launcher, as if Userflow overwrites this property, even adding an Intercom('onShow') event and forcing the update of the hide_default_launcher attribute to true, the launcher continues to be displayed.
Where could the error be? Is this really possible ?
After few hours of investigation, I realized that there's an issue with the vanilla JavaScript example script from Intercom's documentation. Sometimes the events are not even triggered correctly, so merely copying and pasting wasn't enough, specially if you are working with typescript.
Helps against the stuck launcher bar with Opera on a 32-bit system. Another solution would be to set the launcher not to hide in the first place (that's my solution for now). See How can I configure Unity's launcher auto-hide behavior?
Same problem when using Netbeans (Java) : when I drag tabs to reorganize them, the launcher appears and gets stuck (ie wont hide anymore).Could not fix the problem, but found 2 solutions :- drag and drop Firefox tabs around- drag something to the laucher
Like the title says, is there some way to hide or remove eve vanguard from the launcher?
I get that CCP Games wants people to try and test it but I have zero interest in that thing and I just want it gone.
For example you get me some seeds I can plant on a desert planet or barren planet. I can grow a cactus that can make wine that sells for over 30k a glass. It just makes you feel rich and makes your spaceship flash blue and purple with an aura around you that extends outside your spaceship. This stuff makes you hallucinate wealth.
Hello everybody. For some reason the App Launcher button in one of my portals is gone. Everything else about the portal seems to work fine, even the launching of the installed apps. I can for example launch Insights by typing in the URL directly and it works. There is just no App Launcher to click on any of the app icons. I inspected the HTML elements and the App Launcher element is there, its just set to hidden.
Recently, I installed Kubuntu in a virtual machine, and noticed that the application launcher is different from the application launcher in my normal Arch/KDE install. Mainly, no option to pin it, and transparency. A brief look at the settings yields no results. I was wondering where these settings are located, or if there is some config file. I am in no rush, but I am interested in the transparency.
Your Messenger visibility settings will also apply to the Messenger on your Help Center. If you don't want to hide the launcher on your Help Center, add the display condition "Current page URL contains [your help center domain]".
That being said, you could use a custom code on your website to show/hide the Messenger depending on what time of day it is, using the hide_default_launcher attribute in your Messenger installation code.
Niagara Launcher does not provide an option to remove hidden apps from Niagara's app search results. If you want to hide an app completely, we recommend renaming it and edit its icon (see the linked article below).
Hello, all. A month or two back, Windows 10 got a rather substantial update. While, I can't say for certain, it seems this issue started happening around/after that time. It is a more recent issue for me (last month or two).
For example, in the news tab, it always shows the same items as unread. I mark them as read, but the next time the game launches, it shows them as unread again (plus any news items that have been added since this problem began occurring).
If I change launch parameters, the default game profile, etc... none of those settings get saved anymore. It just reverts back to the state it was in prior to this problem popping up in the last couple of months.
I did have an issue about a month ago-I had over 1000 missions and some addons from the Steam workshop and they all kept trying to update all at once-it took hours. Then when they finished updating they would start updating again.I had o manually go through every item I had from the workshop and unsubscribe from it,then delete the files-this fixed my problem. I haven't come across your exact issue though...
But even stuff like CUP Terrains and Massi's stuff all trying to download at once would take over an hour before I could launch. Not that it would matter much because when this would occur they'd all corrupt any way.
It is all just stuck in a state from a month or two ago, and it reverts back to that previous state every time I open the launcher (which I believe coincides with a massive windows 10 update that happened around that time. Or possibly with one of the last arma 3 patches. I can't say for certain.)
The most recently modified folder in that location is 1.3.133.746, which was modified on February 1st. However, the document inside it called "user.config" was last modified on December 22, 2015 (created on Dec 16), which does fall in the timeline of the last "news" item in launcher that is "read", and the first that is not.
I suspect that your problem is that Launcher is unable to save it's settings because you don't have permissions to write to a folders that stores your user data; something has caused that you no longer have access to those folders.
Could you please create a ticket on Feedback Tracker and attach the logs package exported from Options menu in Launcher? Are you able to create a file in 'Arma 3 Launcher' and 'Bohemia_Interactive' folders and then edit it and save changes to that file?
Hello. I created the ticket. It would not let me attach the requested zip directly to the ticket (even though it said the max size was 20mb, and the zip is only 10.1mb) so I uploaded it to google drive and provided a link to it in the "additional information" section of the ticket.
The short version is... At some point in the past, I must have unhidden the AppData folder and then re-hid it, but failed to change the default check box from hide sub-folders and files, to hide just this folder. (probably fiddling around windows 10 while not being familiar with some of the interface changes compared to win 7)
So, that created the issue with some folders/files within "AppData" being in a hidden state (notably the local folder, and some folders within it... including all bohemia related stuff), which was ultimately the cause of the launcher issues I was having.
