Dentist in Ottawa?

Hi!

My ODSP was recently approved and I just got my dental card. I was wondering if anyone in Ottawa could recommend a dentist that is good dealing with ODSP patients and low income? I need a fair amount of work as a result of my medical conditions and am prepared to fight if needed with my worker to get as much as possible covered.

i dealt with the clinic in billings bridge and they were very good.  they see all types of clients as well including OSDP and OW.

Wow, I have called everywhere it seems! My worker suggested I try Rideau Dental 'as they deal frequently with ODSP clients' well when I spoke to them they said they don't take ODSP clients, and directed me to the Ottawa dental clinic (on cobourg) which I knew I didn't want to go to.

So I fell back onto the recommendations offered here, and no one was accepting additional ODSP clients, until finally I called Bell's Corners Family Dentistry, and they have fit me in this Friday, very respectful and non judgmental on the phone. I know its going to be a long fight getting my teeth fixed, I'm just grateful to have found someone who is willing to see me, that can follow me regularly and hopefully help me make informed decisions.

This past week I had an additional 2 teeth (molars) shatter in my mouth....*sigh*

A HUGE thank you to everyone who offered recommendations for dentists in Ottawa, I did mention to Bells Corners Dentistry when I booked that I was referred via an online ODSP forum.

WOW just wanted to update.

I just had my first dental appointment for a full examination with Bells Corner's Family Dentistry and they are AMAZING!! Everyone, the receptionists, the hygienist and the dentist were all very respectful, non judgmental, and gentle. There's a lot of work that needs to be done in my mouth and they've made a plan, and some of my teeth that I thought were going to need to be pulled they're actually going to rebuild them based on my ODSP insurance.

I'm so grateful to be getting this much needed work done! I would highly recommend them to anyone in Ottawa, even if its not at all close or easy for you to get to, its worth the trip!
